Jenna's Wedding - Pt. 1

Sunday, July 20, my cousin Jenna got married. We were so excited to celebrate with her and it was a fun time for ALL of the family -- here are some pictures:

Unfortunately, my picture of me and my sister turned out all kinds of fuzzy - if anyone else has a good picture of the two of us, please e-mail it to me!

Painting Some Rooms

After almost two years in our house, we decided to start painting some rooms.

Here we are beginning with some tinted primer:

And here's at least a close representation of the final colors:

July 4th - Evening

For the night-time, Derek and I headed over to watch fireworks with our church friends. We got together on our future home/church property and munched on hamburgers, chips, yummy pasta salads and homemade desserts!

July 4th - Daytime

Yay for a non-working Friday! Derek and I got to sleep in and then visited our Central Park for city sponsored, Fourth of July fun.

There was a miniature petting zoo:

I love this picture of a froo-froo chicken with the pig:

In the corners, there were guinea pigs that were great - I can't even imagine how freaked out mine would be!

Summer Birthdays

A weekend of family in Tehachapi --- we love it! Derek's side of the family trekked up to our neck of the woods so we could celebrate Kyranda's and Dad Flinspach's birthdays. We enjoyed playing host and here are some pictures: *note that active two year-olds are very hard to photograph as they are running by - there are a lot of blurry pictures :)

The theme was 'tools' as that is something Kyranda and Dad Flinspach have in common -- so Bob the Builder regalia was out in full force - complete with hats and balloons!
