Gluttons for Punishment

Well, Derek & I must like trying things more than once....here we are with a second dog (again)....this little guy we got from the Tehachapi Humane Society adoption day on Saturday. He is 14 weeks old and already neutered. His foster family called him Little Bear so we've been going with "Bear" - especially since I don't think he'll be little for that much longer.

Tehachapi Welcomes Spring

A few pictures of what the snow and rain ushered in...everything is waking up! Today, Shasta got to romp and run through our "seasonal" creek, while Michelyn walked around picking up pinecones (kind of like a Tehachapi Easter egg hunt!)....Derek's getting ready to mow our "lawn"...and our new 'neighbors' are a pair of hawks who have made their nest in our tall pine tree right out the back of our house.

Here are some shots....Shasta had a blast...she got to climb up a hill and got to see a cow!
